Christian Men are So Soft<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think there is a nice way to say it\u2026especially if you are not really concerned about being nice.\u00a0 It has reached the point where I am almost embarrassed to identify with the sissified men I see representing Christianity.<\/p>\n

What in the world has happened to us?\u00a0 Why is the average Christian man so unlike the Christian men that we find in the Bible?<\/p>\n

Pick your Bible hero\u2026my favorite is my namesake David\u2026and take a good hard look at him and see if you see his prototype in America today.\u00a0 Biblical men were real men.\u00a0 The fought evil, spoke the Truth, and usually ended up in trouble with the authorities of their day.<\/p>\n

It is only modern Christian men who find solace and comfort in bowing their collective knees to the forces of darkness.\u00a0 Has there ever been a time in the history of the world where Christian leadership regarded compromise as a sign of Godliness?<\/p>\n

Compromise is weakness.\u00a0 Jesus didn\u2019t compromise.\u00a0 He didn\u2019t go along to get along.\u00a0 The greater the opposition for his revolutionary message the more he doubled-down.\u00a0 Despite what may be modeled for you in your own church, the King of Kings was not a passive I\u2019m-ok-you\u2019re-ok kind of guy.<\/p>\n

They crucified him, you know.<\/p>\n

This topic is near and dear to my heart because I am often reminded that my \u201charshness\u201d is a turnoff to some sissy Christian men who wouldn\u2019t recognize a jock strap if it hit them in the face.<\/p>\n

John the Baptist didn\u2019t wear skinny jeans.\u00a0 Jeremiah was not into \u201cfriendship\u201d evangelism, and Jesus did not surround himself with cookie-cutter senior pastors, ministers of music, or youth ministers that dot the landscape of America\u2019s churches today.\u00a0 He went after the hard core guys\u2026guys who knew how to get their hands dirty\u2026as opposed to today\u2019s Pastor\/CEO\u2019s so prevalent in Evanjellyfishism today.<\/p>\n

Where did we come up with the idea that Jesus was a softie\u2026a pushover\u2026a Mister Roger\u2019s clone?\u00a0 Help me here.\u00a0 Can you point out for me even one \u201chero\u201d in the Scriptures that was a weenie?<\/p>\n

Christianity is in dire need of a reformation.\u00a0 How in the name of all that is holy have we come to the point where any man who speaks his mind is un-Christian?\u00a0 Have you read the book of Acts?\u00a0 Don\u2019t you understand that those in the Bible who are most famous are the ones who opposed the status-quo?\u00a0 Paul wrote most of the New Testament FROM JAIL.\u00a0 A jail cell was his pulpit.<\/p>\n

Not today.\u00a0 No sir.\u00a0 Anyone who stands up and speaks out is considered a troublemaker.\u00a0 Challenging \u201cthe authorities\u201d is now taboo\u2026\u201dsewing discord\u201d is what the religious folks call it.\u00a0 Standing up for the Truth, exposing sin, pushing back against the darkness just isn\u2019t very Christian any more.<\/p>\n

I heard from one of the listeners to my\u00a0show<\/a>\u00a0last week that I would be more effective in my ministry if I was more Christ-like in my approach.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do you mean by that?\u201d I replied to the email.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, you just seem to be so harsh in your approach.\u00a0 You can catch a lot more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell,\u201d I responded.\u00a0 \u201cWhat makes you think I am looking for flies?\u00a0 Flies swarm around things that are dead.\u00a0 Jesus called us to be salt, not sugar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGood one,\u201d he jabbed.\u00a0 \u201cOur pastor is very soft-spoken and he has built a wonderful ministry at our church.\u00a0 Hundreds come to hear his encouraging message every week.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHmmm.\u00a0 It sounds like he has drawn a lot of flies.\u201d I quipped.\u00a0 \u201cI like the fly swatter approach better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christian men have become so soft.<\/p>\n

Despite what they want you to believe, it was harsh, non-compromising, Christian men that built this nation.\u00a0 Compromised, soft, milquetoast, Christian men are giving it away.<\/p>\n

Christian American men are so deceived.\u00a0 Soft men do not fight.\u00a0 Soft men look to \u201creach across the aisle.\u201d\u00a0 Soft men pride themselves on their ability to compromise.\u00a0 Soft men tolerate evil.\u00a0\u00a0 Soft men have soft hands.\u00a0 Soft men go down with a whimper.<\/p>\n

Harsh men say harsh things.\u00a0 Harsh men take harsh action.\u00a0 Harsh men inspire real men.\u00a0 The Bible is the story of harsh men taking harsh action during harsh times.<\/p>\n

The American Left is harsh.\u00a0 They are Christ-less.\u00a0 They are intent on destroying everything that strong Christian men built.\u00a0 The Left advances only because the Right is soft.<\/p>\n

Iron sharpens Iron, the Bible tells us.\u00a0 Well, not today.\u00a0 Iron SOFTENS iron.\u00a0 That is the message of the American church.\u00a0 Sit down, shut up, and get with the program.\u00a0 Don\u2019t make waves.\u00a0 God is love.\u00a0 Don\u2019t be angry.<\/p>\n

Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.\u00a0 Not to speak is to speak.\u00a0 Not to act is to act.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Bonhoeffer.<\/p>\n

America is being bombarded with evil.\u00a0 Why do we think submission to evil is strength?\u00a0 What type of man cowers in the face of evil?<\/p>\n

Soft men.\u00a0 Soft CHRISTIAN men.\u00a0 That\u2019s what our churches are producing.<\/p>\n
